Nigeria player, Gift Orban has disclosed that his ambition remains to play in the English Premier League, EPL stressing that joining Manchester United, Liverpool or Manchester City is ideal prospect for him.

But the 20-year-old striker took a swipe at Arsenal’s lack of trophy in the league to state that he would not want to join the North London side because they don’t have ambition to win titles.

“The Premier League is my ultimate dream. Man United, Liverpool or Man City,” he told hlnsport

“I don’t really like Arsenal that much – it’s like they don’t want to win titles”.

“I want to go somewhere where they win titles.

“You have to aim high in life and who says no to a bigger salary? (laughs) Neither do you? But I’m still too young for Saudi Arabia. Playing in a stadium with 3 supporters is not for me.”

Chelsea are reportedly preparing a bid to bring the striker to Stamford Bridge, but the Blues are considering sending him out on loan if they successfully complete the transfer.

Gift Orban emerged into the global football following his eye-catching performances with his Belgian club, Gent.

He joined the Belgian Pro League side in January and scored 14 goals in 13 appearances in the domestic league as well as 5 goals in the Europa Conference League

On 15 March, he scored a first-half hat-trick in 4–1 away win over İstanbul Başakşehir in the UEFA Europa Conference League round 16. The hat-trick was scored within three minutes and 25 seconds, setting a new record for the fastest hat-trick in UEFA club competitions, breaking the previous record of six minutes and 12 seconds held by Mohammed Salah in the Champions League.

Orban’s comment might not go down well with some Arsenal faithfuls who saw their title ambition in the current season dealt a huge blow following their recent poor performances.

Their “unexpected” 3-0 bashing by Brighton on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium appeared to be the final nail that sealed their coffin away from the title.
