The Federal Capital Territory, FCT contingents to the 6th edition of the National Youth Games, NYG in Ilorin have returned home with 36 medals 

The contingents arrived Abuja around 5:30pm on Wednesday from University of Ilorin, Kwara State, venue of the Games.

FCT won a total of 36 medals comprising 10 gold, 9 silver and 17 bronze medals to be places 6th overall on the medals table. 

The 2021 NYG held from Friday October 15 to 19, on Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital.
Delta State emerged the best youth sports state with a total of 110 medals made up of 56 gold, 26 silver and 28 medals. 

Lagos State came 2nd with 72 medlars while Edo, Bayelsa and Rives complete the top five with 39, 44, 31 medals respectively.

Kano State will Haiti the 8th NYG next year.
