Some Super Eagles players were on parade across European leagues on Sunday with mixed results recorded.

In England, Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho had a miserable Sunday to forget as their hope of playing in the Champions League for a second time in 5 years was dealt a huge blow after they were trashed by relegation strugglers, Bournemouth 4-1.

In the Spanish La Liga, Eagles defender, Chidozie Awaziem was at his best and helped his club Leganes’ grinded out 1-0 home win against Valencia. It was their first win in as many games.

Super Eagles duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho were in action as Leicester City suffered another big setback in their quest to secure a Champions League top-four finish after they were humiliated a 4-1 by Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Ndidi, who got on the referees book on 64th minute, played the entire duration of the game that saw them surrender their lead and conceded two goals in two minutes to make the night a dreadful nightmare for coach Brendan Rodgers.

The 23-year-old who has scored twice in 29 league appearances for the Foxes this season could not replicate his dazzling form.

In the Spanish LaLiga, Chidozie Awaziem played a key role in Leganes’ 1-0 home win against Valencia.

Ruben Perez scored the decisive goal for the hosts in the 18th minute.

Awaziem, who received a yellow card in stoppage time has featured in 26 Leagus games for the Cucumber Growers.

In Italy, Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong was in action as his club, Udinese suffered a 3-1 home defeat in the hands of Sampdoria.

The 26-year-old, who was in action for 90 minutes in the game has made 26 league appearances for the club.

Later on Monday, former Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo will seek to end his lack of Premier League goal for Manchester Unites when they file out against Southampton on Monday Night Football.

A win for the Red Devils will take them to 3rd place following Chelsea’s 3-0 loss to Sheffield United on Sunday.
