NFF CORRUPTION: Former Sports Ministers, Ex NFF Presidents & Ex Footballers To Petition President Buhari On Malami’s Romance with Pinnick, Others
Top sport administrators, among them former sports ministers, former NFF presidents, former NFF general sectetaries, former sports commissioners, former directors of sports and former NFF board members have resolved to jointly sign a petition that will be presented to president Mohammadu Buhari on the need to stop the attoney general and minister of justice, Abubakar Malami from shielding corrupt officials of the Nigeria football federation.
Revealing this latest move Monday, a former sports minister who is believed to be championing this new agenda said the time has come for every Nigerian football stakeholder to come forward and sign the petition against Malami, in order to save Nigeria football from the claws of Amaju Melvin Pinnick and his friends who have continued to perpetrate their fraudulent and evil deeds within the corridors of Nigeria football despite obvious evidences of corruption and widespread fraud levied against them.
The former minister who does not want his identity to be made public said they are also inviting current and former international footballers, serving and former FA chairmen, coaches, fans and journalists to come sign the petition as Nigerians unite to put a stop to Malami’s overbearing influence and overwhelming interference in Nigeria football corruption cases.
On two different ocassions, the AGF had written letters to all the anti graft agencies like EFCC, ICPC and SPIP requesting them to compile all cases involving the Nigeria football federation and send same to his table for harmonization.
This latest petition which will be jointly signed by over one thousand key stakeholders could just be the straw that will finally break the camel’s back.
