NFF Officials Go Hiding As Special Presidential Investigative Panel Storm Glass House

There was drama Thursday as top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, went hiding after the operatives of the Special Presidential Investigative Panel, SPIP, stormed the Glass House in Abuja, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report
According to Michael Obasi, a sports journalist, the top officials scampered for hiding when the SPIP men stormed the office and sneaked out after they left.
He added that the officials who dodged arrested by the SPIP operatives include three board members of the NFF namely Ibrahim Gusau, Ahmed Yusuf Fresh and Inu Allah.
He futher said that the decision to invade the Glass House and effect arrest of members of the NFF board indicted in misappropriation of fund meant for the smooth running and development of football in the country became inevitable after the members refused to honour several invitation sent to them by the panel despite being granted administrative bail. Adding that the SPIP operatives also visited Shehu Dikko, NFF 2nd Vice President and Sanusi Mohammed, NFF Secretary-General in their Abuja residences but the duo were not present.
The report reads “Top NFF officials went hiding as Operatives of the Special Presidential Investigative Panel (SPIP) on the recovery of Public funds stormed NFF today.
“The SPIP has been forced to go and look for officials of the Nff after they jumped administrative bail following conclusion of investigation of misappropriation of public funds by the Board of the Football House.
“The Okon Obla-led investigative panel said the Nff officials have been invited severally to come and clear their names but refused since they were granted administrative bail.
“It was gathered that on arrival at the Glass House today, about three board members of the NFF namely, Ibrahim Gusau, Ahmed Yusuf Fresh and Inu Allah from Kano state quickly went hidding and wasted no time to leave the premises of the Secretariat when the operatives left.
“It was also gathered that the investigative panel operatives also stormed the homes of shehu Dikko and Secretary General Sanusi Muhammed earlier today but were not found in their Abuja homes.
“The investigative panel insisted that the top NFF officials already indicted in their investigation are not guilty of the crime committed, why are they always running instead of coming out to clear their names”.
