Nigeria Crash Out Of Africa Women Handball Championship After Cameroon Humiliation

Nigeria female handball national team Tuesday crashed out of the 2021 Africa Women Handball Championship after they were humiliated by host country, Cameroon.

The Nigerian ladies were recipient of a big defeat in the hands of their Cameroonian counterparts after they were handed a 44-14 scorelinen in the quarter-final duel

In a match decided at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex, the Coach Rafiu Salami tutored side were no match for Cameroon who inflicted huge 44-14 victory on them.

The Senior Women National Handball team were thoroughly beaten in the first half which ended 26-3 and a second half surge wasn’t enough as they went on to lose to Cameroon 44-14; a defeat against the host for the second time in this competition.

Nigeria will now play a classification match against Senegal on Wednesday.

Nigeria have thus okayed four matches in the tournament with a sad record of 3 losses and one win. Their only win came against Kenya in the last group game
