Nigeria Players Who Ruled Europe In 2020/2021 Leagues’ Season

Nigeria’s male and female senior national teams found their rhythm during the just concluded 2020/2021 leagues’ season acoss Europe.
With plethora of champions, crowns and trophies, Super Eagles and Super Falcons players dominated the European leagues with relative ease.
From English FA Cup to Scottish Premier League, UEFA Women’s Champions League, Belgium Cup as well as Cypriot First Division, Nigeria players won trophies.
Just Wednesday Europa League was added to the trophy hall of these worthy Super Eagles and the Super Falcons ambassadors.
Below are list of Nigeria players who won their leagues of Cups across Europe
Europa League
Samuel Chukwueze is the latest in this roaster after he won the UEFA Europa League with Villarreal on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
Although his club ended their domestic league, La Liga 7th on the log, three spots away from Champions League slot, nevertheless, he will be playing the Europe’s elite continental league , UEFA Champions League, next season.
Chuwkwueze was not listed for the final against Manchester United in Poland but he was instrumental in the Yellow Submarines achieve their highest success since it was founded.
UEFA Women’s Champions League
Asisat Oshoala, the Super Falcons captain, won the UEFA Women’s Champions League and Spanish Primera División Femenina with Barcelona.
It is an unprecedented feat for the former Arsenal ladies player and the four-time Africa Women’s Footballer of the year (going for 5th undoubtedly) who is also in the race for a season ending treble with the Primera Cup to add to her year’s of fortune.
English FA Cup
Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi won the English (Emirates) FA Cup with Leicester.
It is the first trophy the duo are winning with the Foxes. They defeated fierce rival, Chelsea 1-0 to lift the trophy last week.
Belgian Cup
Paul Onuachu and his compatriot, Cyril Dessers won the Belgian Cup in the season under focus.
Paul also scooped the highest goal scorer’s award.
The lanky striker who has become a hot bride among top European clubs was outstanding throughout the just ended Belgium league.
Scottish Premier League
Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun and and a midfielder, Joe Aribo won the Scottish Premier league historically with Rangers.
The duo were instrumental in Rangers achieving the feat under former Liverpool star, Stephen Gerard UNBEATEN record in the league.
Rangers were undefeated in all 38 games in the Scottish Premiership in 2020/2021.
Czech First League
Peter Olayinka, Super Eagles striker was.on the trophy book after he won double, the Czech First League and Czech Cup with Slavia Prague.
Cypriot First Division
Shehu Abdullahi helped Athletic Club Omonoia Nicosia to win her 21 Cypriot First Division crown.
Abdullahi joined Omonoia in 2020 and less than two years, he is a league champion.
