Nigeria Vs Cameroon WAFCON Quarter-final: ‘Now The Real Game Starts’ – Ajibade

Super Falcons attacker, Rasheedat Ajibade has disclosed that the “real game” at the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON in Morocco will start when the nine-time champions battle Indomitable lionesses of Cameroon in the quarter-final fixtures, bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

The two African’s women football heavyweights were paired to face each other following the conclusion of the group stage matches on Sunday.

Both teams began their campaign on blips and got beaten to the leadership of their groups with South Africa winning Group C ahead of Nigeria while Cameroon came second behind Zambia

The Super Falcons, beaten 2-1 by South Africa in their opening group match, on Sunday thrashed debutants Burundi 4-0 to book their place in the last 8 with Ajibade scoring the opener in 25th minute and providing further two assists

After scoring from the penalty spot, Ajibade, as part of her celebration, hefted her jersey to reveal a white vest underneath with the inscription: “Thank you Jesus.”

She was supposed to be a Muslim, but she showcased Jesus to the whole world.

Ajibade later took to her Twitter handle after the match, expressing more gratitude to Jesus.

She wrote: “Thank you Jesus, Good performance from the entire team and through to the knockout rounds. The real game starts now.”

The Super Falcons will take on the Indomitable lionesses on Thursday, July 14, 2022.

The winner of the match will not only qualify for the Semi-final of the WAFCON but aultimatelly qualify for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup tournament which will be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand
