NLO Orders Replay Of Joy Cometh Vs Spartans FC Promotion Playoff

The Nationwide League One management has ordered a replay of the promotion playoff match between Joy Commeth and Spartans FC on a neutral venue, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

The decision was part of resolutions reached by the NLO Disciplinary Committee which met after reviewing evidences including video tapes, pictures and match report concerning the abandonment of the game, decided that the match should be replayed but from the last minute upon which the first encounter was disrupted.

The two clubs were also ordered to play the remaining 12 minutes encounter in a closed door with only 25 persons including 18 players and 7 team officials expected from each team. This is as the teams were also fined the sum of fifty thousand naira (N50, 000) for fans encroachment in the abandoned match.

1. The Nationwide League One affirmed that the match is inconclusive since the game was brought to an end in the 78th minutes. 

2. From the video and picture evidence available to the NLO Secretariat it was seen that officials of both teams were on the field of play, and unknown supporters which cannot be identified since they did not wear any uniform identifying them with either of the clubs.

DECISION:

1. The NLO Disciplinary Committee decided that the match should be concluded on a neutral ground.

2. The remaining time to play is 12 minutes, which makes the game to continue from 78 minutes, to be played on Wednesday August 21, 2019 by 3:00 PM.

3. The concluding match shall be played under closed and only 25 persons (18 players and 7 officials) shall be allowed into the Stadium. 

4. The following personnel shall also be allowed (Ogun State FA Board Members, Medicals, Press, Security personnel and NLO officials).

5. The same set of match​​ officials shall preside over the match. 

6. The two clubs (Joy Cometh FC and Spartans FC) shall pay a fine of #50, 000 each before the match.​​
