NNL Playoff: 3SC Management Team Resigns
The management of the Nigeria National League side, Shooting Stars Sporting Club of Ibadan, 3SC, Oyo state, has resigned following the inability of the club to gain promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, Beschoicesports.com.ng can report.
In the playoff decided Monday 3SC lost 0-3 to Akwa Starlets a defeat that prompted the team’s General Manager, Rasheed Balogon, head Coach Edith Agoye and Team Manager Oladimeji Lawal to all resign from their positions with immediate effect.
In a statement released after the club’s defeat, it noted that after a disappointing NNL19 Promotion Playoff, which saw 3SC defeated 0-3 by Akwa Starlets, Rasheed Balogun has stepped down as the Oluyole Warriors General Manager.
Ekulekule as he’s fondly called resigned after six years in charge.
“It was a difficult decision for me to take going by the strong attachment I have with the players, technical crew, backroom staff, supporters, and fans.
“I thank the Oyo State Government for giving me the opportunity to serve, I wish the club good luck in its future endeavours.”
Also the duo of Shooting’s Head Coach Edith Agoye and Team Manager Oladimeji Lawal have also resigned.
Rasheed Balogun served the club for 6 years.
