NPFL Matchday 11 Roundup: Abia Warriors End Plateau United’s Unbeaten, Dakkada Consolidate On Away Form

Abia Warriors Sunday ended Plateau United’s 10-match unbeaten run in the Matchday 11 of the Nigeria Professional Football League 2019/20 season, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
In one of the 7 matches played on Sunday, the Umuahia Warlords ran riot and decimated the hitherto stingy Plateau United defence in a 3-0 rout to end the year on high.
Emmanuel Ugwuka opened the goal riot account in the 28 minute while Guy Keumian made it 2 in the 82nd minute.

Newcomers, Dakkada FC consolidated their away form as their host, Sunshine Stars held them to 1-1 draw.
Sunshine Stars levelled the score at the death in a goalmouth scramble.
Dakkada FC took the lead in the 42 minute when Femi Ajayi scored opener but the Akwa Ibom bases side had their joy of celebrating another away win cut short in the 90+5 minutes when Fuad Ekelojuoti equalised for the Akure side.
With the result, Dakkada FC are the only team yet to lose an away game in the NPFL this season with P6 W1 D5 results so far.
In other results, Akwa United continued their recently discovered form when they defeated Lobi Stars 1-0 with the lone goal coming off the boot of
Orok Akarandut in the 51 minute of the encounter.
Katsina United produced a spirited effort to outscore Jigawa Golden Stars in a five-goal thriller.
Tasiu Lawal scored a brace in 15 and 70 minutes while Lukman Muhammed netted in the 27 minute to ensure that the home side ran away with the three points in a 3-2 win despite Jigawa Golden Stars two goals by Mannir Ubale 21 minute via penalty while Ali Maro Kalla scored in the 40 minute of the encounter.
FC Ifeanyiubah were victors in the Eastern Derby after 1-0 Heartland
Samuel Kalu’s 21 minute strike handed the home side the much needed three points in the derby.
In Stephen Keshi Stadium, Warri Wolves defeated Kwara United 2-1 with goals from Sunday Williams 38’ and Efe Yarhere in the 52 minute made the difference while Kwara United scored scored in the 58 minute courtesy of Alao Danbani strike.
In the final result for the day, Adamawa United were lost 0-2 to Rivers United with
Junior Osaghae and Malachi Ohawume registering their names on the scoresheet in the
