Despite being separated by 12 points on 16th and 4th positions, respectively, Niger Tornadoes of Minna Niger State are posied to blow aside former champions, Enyimba International FC in Kaduna in one of the weekend’s Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL matchday 32 clashes.

With 36 points from 31 matches and following imperious home form in recent outings, Niger Tornadoes are banking on their home ‘invincibility’ against the most successful club in the league.

Two teams with varying ambitions set to clash, as the Ikon Allah Boys brace up for what promises to be a cracking game. A win against the former champions, would further boost the hosts chances of staying safe, while the visitors, who have picked in form lately are eyeing for a slot on the continent.

“The game against Enyimba is going to be a very tight game, it’s a game where the visitors would want to do everything for the points at stake, so that they can push for the top three spots. But we are ready; we want to get out of the position we are in, because we are not in a good position, so its not a game for jokes.”

“For me personally, it’s a game I want to use for a come back; I’ve been a bit down, literally struggling. But I’ve been preparing my self mentally. I’m going through the rudiment, i.e the process of regaining mental alertness. I’ve gone off all social media, I’ve set my self up in a position where I can be balanced, I’ve had conversation with the coaches, they’ve told me where to work on and I’ve been working on it everyday and I’m trying to eat right, sleep early and prepare for the game. So mentally, I want to be fit for the game and also regain my scoring form against Enyimba.

Jonas has scored twice for the Ikon Allah Boys, against Dakkada FC and Kano Pillars and had also made some assists since joining from Heartland during the mid season transfer.

Niger Tornadoes snatched a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture in Aba, when Kabiru Adeniji stroke first and the hosts equalized via penalty to share the spoils.
