NWFL Matchday 5: Nasarawa Amazons Travels To Edo With Tubers Of Yam To Face Edo Queens

Despite the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL announcement of the postponement of the Matchday 5 fixtures of the 2920/2021 season, Nasarawa Amazon FC Monday travelled to Edo State with tubers of yam to honour their match against Edo Queens, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
In a tweet posted around 7am Monday with two pictures, some tubers of yam were seeing by the side of the team bus with a Cooler Box by the side.
“Nasarawa Amazons football club just left Lafia city now heading to Benin, Edo state for their week 5 match against Edo Queens match which will be played @ the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium Benin,” the tweet read.
While praying for journey mercy, the tweet further called for fair officiating from the centre referee

Calls put across to the head coach, Christopher Danjuma for his reaction were una answered.
When our correspondent called the media Officer of the club, Emmanuel Adakwu, a lady who answered the call told our correspondent that he left the phone at home and went out.
The Management of the NWFL Monday announced the suspension of the league till January 20, 2021.
In a release made public, the NWFL noted that the suspension was due to the inability of 14 clubs to carry out their mandatory Covid-19 testing and protocols.
It added that any club found wanting after the 20tb would evicted from the league.
