Ojukwu Congratulates Wike, Perez On Madrid Academy In Rivers State
The former Ambassador of Nigeria to Spain, Her Excellency, Iyom Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu has received with utmost joy, the fantastic news of the establishment of the Real Madrid Academy in Rivers State
Amb. Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu who was the Ambassador of Nigeria to Spain had met severally with the President of Real Madrid in pursuance of this initiative and had also hosted directors of the Real Madrid Foundation at her Residence in addition to facilitating series of meetings between the President of Real Madrid and several state governors, the Director General and executives of the National Sports Commission And the President of Real Madrid FC of Spain, Mr Florentino Perez.
Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu is overjoyed to see that the meetings have yielded fruits that are beneficial to both parties whilst giving a golden opportunity for talented Nigerians to strut their stuff with the biggest club in the world.
Anyanwu Ututu who is a Rangers fan, hereby adopts Real Madrid FC as her only foreign club owing to the fact that they have invested in Nigeria as she had urged Mr Perez, thereby ensuring Nigeria keep churning out global stars.
Mr Ojukwu also urged Nigerians to maximise this golden opportunity as it saves thousands of dollars in meeting the international requirements of both the Countries and FIFA, as well as eliminates fraud and scammers who promise to get talented and vulnerable Nigerian youth into teams, only to abandon them overseas.
She praised Governor Wike for this lofty idea, even at a time other Governors seem to have abandoned Sports, forgetting it is a billion dollar industry that employs thousands, directly and indirectly.
Students and beneficiaries of the academy are expected to give a good account of themselves and above all, be good ambassadors of Nigeria regardless of whence their career takes them.
