OPINION: Eagles Overcome Deadly Sharks, Ready For Smart Squirrels
Over twenty angry Sharks gathered at the bay, and swam 20 feet bellow sea level after news filtered in that the Super Eagles will be encroaching on unfamiliar territory enroute Porto Novo, ahead of Saturday’s AFCON qualifier with the Squirrels of Benin Republic.
King of the Shark kingdom Jalla-Sharki has informed the deadliest sharks in his hood to converge for what they say was going to be the mother of all battles.
“We fought them on land they won, we took them to courts they won, we took them to EFCC, ICPC and BEREKETE, they won, now we are taking them to the sea inhabited by deadly sharks. Let’s see if they will win”, king Jalla-sharki roared shaking his head.
A battle that started since 2015 has recorded over 35 court cases with some pending litigations. During these period, there have been allegations and counter allegations as things seem to have fallen apart and the center could no longer hold among friends with very rich history and a glorious past
They trailed the opposition to Zurich with a 115-paged petition but the stubborn Amaju, still emerged victorious winning in grandstyle at the recent CAF Elections as he picked a seat among FIFA’S very best in the council
With all hopes almost lost, these men have now brought another dimension to their game plan with the involvement of angry sharks.
They danced around, twisting their tails in readiness for a great onslaught against their unsuspecting victims. The Super Eagles arrived the port, looking trimmed and ready for battle against the Squirrels not knowing that on their way, lies the bigger enemy.
Also at today’s meeting was Gara-Sharki, AderibiSharki, NiyiBusharki, Amaesharki and Gree-Sharki.
They all have their strategies well planned out to attack but the Eagles had other ideas. A trip planned for Friday afternoon was rescheduled for Friday morning and the team flew past enemies territory before they could strike.
As at press time, the Super Eagles have arrived Cotonou, venue of Saturday’s all important AFCON qualifier with the Squirrels who have continued to talk tough.
Let’s hope they will win again and silence all opposition
