Premium, FCMB, Trustfund Pension, Others Battle For Supremacy In Pension Games

Premium, FCMB, Trustfund, Tangerine APT Pensions, Nupenco and Norrenberger Pension will take one another to the jugular as they square up in the second edition of Pension Fund Administrators, PFA Games.
The competition which commenced on Tuesday, November 22nd will run through Saturday, November 26th, 2022 at Turf Arena Sports Center with the PFAs competing in seven (7) sports events.
The sports to be competed for include football (7 A-side), coed volleyball (6×6),
table tennis, snooker, scrabble, chess and team bonding games.
Speaking ahead of the games kick off, Oladapo Oluwatope, the coordinator of the games, said everything has been put in place to ensure a hitch-free games
“We have worked round the clock to ensure a hitch-free games. Besides, this second edition is bigger with more treams participating and creates the right environment for participants to network, build spirit of camaraderie among themselves and widening out
“There will be top level security for the participants, while the use of ‘machinery’ by some agencies will be heavily frowned at, as the organisers will be liaising with head of human resources of different organisations in confirming the authenticity of some of the staff especially the ones with new identity cards,” he said.
Reacting shortly after briefing and draws for the games on Saturday FCMB team coordinator, Mr Akande said, his team’s mission is to dethrone the defending champions, Premium Pension.
“In terms of personal expectations as a team, Premium won last year because we were not here, I am sure we are coming to displace and dethrone them, I am sure, he stated.”
A representative of Trustfund Pension Limited at the draw Henry Chuks Obasi, said his team narrowly miss the overall top position last year but added that they are well prepared to avoid the lapses they had in the first edition and take home the crown
“Our strong area is football, last year we finished as first runner up but this time around, we are gunning for the top position,” he disclosed.
