As Christians all over the world celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ at Easter today, Nigeria Professional Football League side, Rangers International FC of Enugu and Nigeria National League side, Crown FC of Ogbomoso have felicitated with Christians around the world on the occasion of resurrection of the Messiah.

In its message, the board, management, staffs, players and coaching crew of Rangers International F.C wished the Christian faithful all the best this season despite the Covid -19 threat.

In a release signed by the club’s Media Officer, the G.M/CEO of the Enugu side, Prince Davidson Owumi in a chat, Saturday, sent the club’s best wishes to all Christian faithful in the season of celebrations while calling for carefulness during the celebrations and observing health safety rules as directed by the authorities.

“Sure we have to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ at Easter and we wish all christians around the world and our supporters the best of the season. We also urge that the celebrations should be in line with the directives of the health authorities as we grapple with the Covid-19 pandemic. Our prayers is that the season, Easter, shall mark the beginning of the end of the pandemic,” stated the former NPL boss.

Similarly, Crown Football Club, Ogbomoso, has felicitated with all Christian faithfuls around the globe on the occasion of Easter Celebration. 

In his message , the Acting General manager of the club, Mr Oyekunle Oyeleye, admonished all Christians to reflect on the essence of the season and also abide by all preventive measures identified by the certified bodies in the bid to curb the spread of the deadly Coronavirus disease.

“Easter season is not mainly meant for jollification but a period to reflect on the various lessons about the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus. May His death bury all the negatives in our lives and His resurrection bring to life and fulfilment all our sweet dreams and lost glories. Amen “.

“Coronavirus is real so we must be very cautious in all we do. Social distancing, regular hand washing, use of hand sanitizers amongst other measures prescribed by the National Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) should be seriously adhered to”, he said.

The former administrative secretary of the club, while praying for a hitch free festive season and for God to put an end to the Coronavirus pandemic, used the medium to appreciate government at all levels, corporate organizations, stakeholders in the round leather game and individuals for their efforts in curtailing the spread of the pandemic that has brought the world economy to a halt.

He concluded by pleading that more proactive measures should be drastically taken and solicited for more private donations in the fight against COVID-19.
