Rangers International Is Like Manchester United In Nigeria – Ilechukwu

Fidelis Ilechukwu, newly appointed Technical Adviser of seven-time Nigeria Premier League, NPL champions, Enugu Rangers has likened the only club yet to be relegated from the top flight to English Premier League giants, Manchester United.
Mr Ilechukwu stated this during his unveiling at the Rangers Corporate Office in Enugu on Wednesday last week. Ilechukwu who left Plateau United at the end of last season signed a two-year contract with the “Flying Antelopes”
“It’s a great privilege and I am honoured to be the coach of this great team, one of the best teams in Nigeria, whether anybody likes it or not.
“I have been in the East, West and North and back to the East. I think I know the terrain of every region and their character. I know that Rangers International are hungry for trophies.
“The players need to be psyched up, to understand their awareness, be aware of the meaning of Rangers International. Rangers International is like Manchester United in Nigeria. They need to understand that mentality and everything. There is alot to do,” he said.
Ilechukwu replaced Abdul Maikaba who led Rangers to the final of the 2023 Federation Cup in Asaba where they lost by a solitary go against Bendel Insurance
Rangers International FC will beging training ahead of the 2023/2024 NPL season on Tuesday in Enugu.
