Rangers To Drop Players Ahead Of 2021/2022 NPFL Season

Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL side, Rangers International FC of Enugu are set to drop players ahead of the new season, www.bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

The General Manager of the club, Davidson Owumi disclosed this in a meeting with the players, technical crew and management after the 2021 season was concluded on Thursday, last week.

After the last match on Thursday that signaled the end of the season, the General Manager, Mr Owumi in a meeting with Technical crew, Players and Management of Rangers International Football Club of Enugu thanked everyone for their individual contributions that resulted in the team not going for relegation.

The new Chief Executive Officer, CEO of League Management Company, LMC however regretted not lifting the trophy this year because of some challenges, and promised that next season would not be far from Rangers.

He noted that some players will leave the club due contract expiration, some dropped as a result of poor input while others will leave in other to pursue their career at high clubs.

While wishing them well, he advised them to be careful as they travel home for season break and urged them to continue their training.

“This will be the last time some of us will seat down together as teammates because some players contract with the Club has expired, some will be dropped because of poor performance and some may join a higher Club.

“We wish you well. As you travel home for holiday, be careful and train too,” Mr Owumi said

The Technical Department of the Club will in one week release their technical report for the year and management of Rangers will in turn communicate the players on the status of their stay in the team based on the the report

The resumption date for the 2021/2021 NPFL season has not been announced.
