Rasheed Balogun’s Death Is Huge Loss To Nigeria Football Family – Nasarawa United Chairman

Top-flight Nigerian Football League Side, Nasarawa United Fc, have commiserated with fellow NPFL side, Shooting Stars Sport Club of Ibadan, following the shocking demise of the Club’s General Manager, Alh. Rasheed Balogun.

Nasarawa United’s Chairman, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi described the incident as a huge loss to the entire football family in Nigeria, especially the Shooting Stars Sport Club, Government and people Of State state and Nigeria Professional Football League.

“This is a very sad and devastating development for the football fraternity in Nigeria.

“Alh. Balogun was a cool-headed personality whose great influence and impact in the round leather game cannot be overlooked.

“Unfortunately, death has snatched him away from us at the time his wealth of experience is most needed, especially in the NPFL.

“No doubt, we are going to dearly miss him and his vital contributions.

“I cannot forget in a hurry his last words of admonition to me and Prince Davidson Owunni, the new CEO of the League Management Company on how to work together assiduously to ensure that the NPFL is moved to the next level.

“May I assure you our dear brother, friend, colleague and partner in progress that even in death we shall not disappoint you in our efforts to realising the NPFL of our dream”, he stated.

Barr. Danladi who also heads the NPFL Club Owners’ Association condoled with the family of the deceased, Oyo State Government, and Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, praying God to give them the strength to bear the loss.

“On behalf of the entire Management, Staff, Coaches, Players and Supporters of Nasarawa United FC, my thoughts and prayers are with the immediate family of late Balogun, 3SC, Oyo State Government and its peace-loving people for this irreplaceable loss.

“I also wish to sympathize with the the Nigeria Football Federation the League Management Company and the entire football stakeholders in the country for the painful loss. May Allah in his infinite mercy grant him Aljannatul Firdausi.

“It’s my hope and prayer that they find solace in the fact that the late Balogun is in a better place.”

The Solid Miners’ supremo called on those affected by the death of the 3SC Team Manager to leverage on the memorable legacies he left behind.

Recall that Alhaji Rasheed Balogun passed away on Thursday night after battling ailment at the age of 62.
