Restoration Starlets Are Bayelsa State League Champions

Restoration Starlets have emerged champions of the 5th edition of the Bayelsa State Football Association League, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
Restoration Starlets beat Eternal Grace Ministry EGM FC by 4-2 on penalties after a one-all- draw in regulation time in a keenly contested encounter decided at the Samson Siasia Stadium Yenagoa.
Otu Friday gave EGM FC the lead in 13th minute through Opus Joshua cross to go pass Restoration Starlets goalkeeper Tokoni Kogu,prior to the Otu Friday’s goal Restoration Starlets could have taken the lead but Roland Vidah fired wide from a close range.

The victory means that the Restoration Starlets will represent Bayelsa State in the National division three playoffs few months after their exploit in Cape Verde.
After the game an elated Technical Adviser of Restoration Starlets Dipreye Teibowei said his pleased with the performance of his boys, adding that their focus at the moment is the playoffs describing Michael’s 66th minute red card as a results of carelessness.

While lauding the lads for the victory Director General Restoration Cup Mr.Ono Akpe said the Restoration Cup is yielding it’s needed results, stressing the lads have performed beyond their age judging by the opponent and their performance in Cape Verde and the State league triumph.
Mr Ono however thanked the Bayelsa State government for the massive support in it’s quest to develop sports and promote grassroots football in the State.
