Restoration Starlets and Eternal Grace Ministry EGM FC are through to the final of the 5th edition of the Bayelsa State Football Association League, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report

Restoration Starlets beat Ororo FC by three goals to two on penalties to reach the final for the first time after a two all draw in regulation time at the Samson Siasia Stadium Yenagoa.

In the second semi final of the day high-flying EGM FC saw off tournament favourite Rich Destiny to book their place in the final.

Captain of the Starlets, Tarabina Biweribo drew first blood inside three minutes, to put his team ahead, as both sides showcased their determination to be the better team, and it paid off for Ororo FC, with their prolific goalscorer, Evans Renee, finding the back of the net in the 65th minute.

The goal seemed to motivate the boys on blue, as a long clearance from the defence, found Evans Renee, who calmed the ball, before slotting home to put his team ahead with five minutes left, his 11th goal in the campaign.

However, the Diepreye Teibowei tutored side did not relent in searching for an equaliser. Their efforts paid off, with a free kick into the danger area led to a hand ball, and Roland Vidah converted from the spot in the dying minutes of the encounter, to level up.

In the shootout, Ororo scored only two of their spot kick, while the Restoration Starlets found the back of the net, three times.

Coach Diepreye Teibowei, at the post-match briefing, said his boys didnt take charge of the game as expected, but hoped for better outting at the finals, while his Captain, Tarabina Biweribo, commeded his teammates for not giving up, hoping they will replicate their performance in the finals.

Director of the Restoration Cup, Daniel Alabrah, commended the state FA for organising the tournament as it helps to engage young teams in the state, he equally added that for the fact the Restoration boys were younger than their opponents and still progresses to the finals, they deserve commendation.

Director General of the Restorarion Cup, Ono Akpe, said the third edition of the competition would kick off soon, adding that a former National team player, has pledged to support the tournament. He
also commended the Dickson Administration, for the Restoration Cup project, which according, was yielding numerous dividends.

The victory means that two new teams will be battling for the converted trophy for the first time while for the Restoration Starlets they will rely in on their experience in Cape Verde in the Africa Youth tournament were finish third alongside other African teams.
