Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun was shown a straight red card as his club Rangers claimed an impressive 3-1 away win in the Scottish Premier League match against Motherwell on Saturday, www.beatchoicesports.com.nh can report.

Balogun was sent off following a tackle on Dean Cornelius in the 29th minute of the encounter.

Although Balogun and his teammates protested that the challenge was not a straight card offence, the referee did not rescind his decision forcing Rangers to play the remaining 62 minutes of the match with one man deficit.

However, Motherwell did not make their numerical advantage count as the match ended 3-1 in favour of the visitors.

Balogun’s compatriots, Calvin Bassey and Joe Arobo both started from the bench.

The win takes Rangers to within 3 points off league leaders, Celtic who, however, have a match in hand.
