Super Eagles Facebook Page Hacked, Team Creates New Account

The Nigeria Football Federation, have confirmed that the Facebook Page of the Super Eagles have been hacked.
The confirmation was made on Monday morning after the federation through the team’s media department created a new Facebook page for the national team.
Confirming the new page, the team’s media department said on Monday, “Hello fans, welcome to the new official Facebook page of the Super Eagles.
“The former page was hacked and no longer in use by us. Please do not carry out any transactions with the page.”
Nigerians have last week expressed worry following the inability of sports journalists and fans to access information from the former page as the last post in the page was made on 30th December, 2021.
The former page which was created on August 17th, 2014 had over 474 000 followers.

The Super Eagles are poised to defeat Egypt in their Group D match on Tuesday at the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Cameroon.
