Super Falcons Star, Ordega Visits Gov Ortom Canvasses For Female Football Team

Super Falcons Attacker, Francisca Ordega Wednesday visited Benue State Governor, Mr Samuel Ortom in the Government House, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
The visit, we gathered, was a personal one by the Shanghai Shenhua player and also to rub minds with the number one Benue state citizen on issues concerning youth development and female football in the state.
Confirming the visit on her Twitter Thursday, the former Rivers Angels player said the visit was part of her plans in marking the World Youth Day.
The the Commissioner for youth and sports was among top government officials who welcomed her during the visit.
“Yesterday (Wednesday) was indeed a blessed day,” she started.
“YOUTHS EMPOWERMENT DAY with HIS EXCELLENCE SAMUEL ORTOM, the GOVERNOR OF BENUE STATE alongside with the Commissional(er) of YOUTHS AND SPORTS.”
The former Sydney FC star noted that she was able to convince the government to empower more youths through sports.
Adding that hope is alive for the establishment of a Benue State Female football team
“I was able to convince the government to empower more youths true sport and hopefully we get a femal(e) team.”
Ordega represented the Nigeria women’s national football team in all levels.
With the Under 17, she played the 2010 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup and with the Under 20 at 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup .
At senior level she played in the FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments of
2011, 2015 and 2019
