Super Falcons To Play Australia Club Lions FC In A World Cup Warm-up Match

Following barrage of criticisms over the poor preparations of Super Falcons ahead of this month’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has arranged a warm-up match between the Africans and Australia female club, Lions FC.

It is not yet clear if the match will be open to public considering that the 2023 World Cup will commence on Thursday next week.

Super Falcons have been in camp at the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Australia since last week. Following disagreement between the coach and the federation, the team has attracted more negative reports including the players decision to boycott their opening match against Canada on Friday next week.
