Team Nigeria Arrive Germany For World Junior Cycling Track Championship

Nigerian Junior cycling Team arrived Germany on Tuesday ahead of the World Junior Cycling Track Championship.

The 5-day world championship which begins on Wednesday, August 14, will end on Sunday, Aug. 18.

Media Officer of the Cycling Federation of Nigeria, Dorcas Jonas in a release said the team consist of 8 cyclists including four male cyclists and four women cyclist.

The technical director of the Cycling Federation of Nigeria, CFN, Bashir Mohammed has disclosed that team Nigeria is a eight man riders. 
The delegation led by the CFN president, Chief Giandomenico Massari is made up of eight cyclists, four male and female each as well as two coaches, Emmanuel Onasanya and Joy Omevoh.

President of CFN, Giandomenico Massari said the team would participate in 11 events in the championship.

 Massari listed the event as: Team Sprint, Team Pursue, Point Race, 1 km Time Trial, Time Sprint, Time Pursue, Scratch Race, Point Race, Kering, Omnium and Individual Pursue.

He listed the athletes as follows: Male junior, Shedrack Egundor, Okeyah Temple, Vitalis Bethel and Timileyn Johnson.

For the Women junior, Ayuba Grace, Ernest Happiness, Samuel Mary and Yekin Taiwakalt.
