Super Eagles striker, Terem Moffi’s early participation in the 2024/2025 French Ligue 1 season could be in doubt, after he suffered horrific injury on Wednesday while training with his teammates in Australia

According to several media reports in France, the Nigerian international tore his cruciate ligaments during a training session in Austria, which could see him sidelined for mother half a year.

The 24-year-old forward is expected to undergo surgery with the initial estimate for his return to the field set for February 2025, approximately six months from now.

This injury comes at an unfortunate time for Moffi, who had been attracting interest from several clubs due to his impressive performances for Nice.

He joined OGC Nice in January last year in a reported €25 million scoring 11 goals and registering 2 assists in 30 league appearance

Moffi’s injury means he is unavailable for Nigeria’s September Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
