Kurt Zouma’s brother to represent an African nation

Kurt Zuma’s elder brother Lionel Zouma has been named in Central Africa Republic’s 2021 AFCON Qualifiers squad to face Burundi and Mauritania next week


The 26-year-old former France Under 19 International will be a part of the players who begin the West African nation’s journey to their first ever AFCON competition.

Born in Lyon-France, the defender on the books of Dhofar will rather represent his nation of origin after he ended his wait for call up to the senior national selection of France.
Personal Life:

Zouma’s younger brother, Kurt, plays in the same position for English club Chelsea and has represented France at senior level. Another younger brother, Yoan, made his professional debut for Bolton Wanderers in 2019. Their parents migrated from the Central African Republic.
He is the second player in the last few years to go this way.
