The quartet of Ghana, Gambia, Uganda and Tunisia are in hit Chase to make history as they battle for the final slots in the 2021 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.

The road to the U-20 AFCON final Mauritania reached its penultimate stage, with the semi-final clashes of the continental youth showpiece revealed on Friday.

Three-time champions Ghana will face 2007 bronze medalists Gambia on Monday March 1st, while debutants Uganda and Tunisia lock horns for a historic place in the final at their maiden appearance.

Both games take place at the Stade Olympique in Mauritania’s capital Nouakchott.

However, Ghana v Gambia will start by 16GMT while Uganda v Tunisia will commence by 19:30 GMT.

The top four teams of the tournament would have normally qualified for the 2021 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia as the CAF representatives. However, FIFA decided to cancel the tournament on 24 December 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The final of the 2021 U-20 AFCON will hold on Saturday, March 6.
