Victor Osimhen Grateful After Father’s Burial

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has expressed gratitude to Nigerians and for their support during their bereavement after the passing of their father, Patrick Osimhen and his burial, Bestchoicesports.com.ng reports.
The remains of Patrick Osimhen was Wednesday laid to rest in Lagos in compliance with adherence to social distancing occasioned by the ravaging coronavirus.
Late Osimhen was interred according to Christian rites at a private cemetery, Omega Memorial Garden, Ojodu, in the state.
Moment after the interment, the Lille of France striker took to his social media handle, via Twitter to thank friends of the family globally for standing by them throughout the difficult moment.
“The family (Osimhen) would like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest appreciation for the thoughtfulness presented to us and love we have been given during our time of bereavement,” Osimhen tweeted Tuesday.
Late Patrick Osimhen who was 80, transited to the eternal glory on May 23 after a brief illness.
Lille of France, Osimhen’s club, provided a private jet for him to return to the country for the burial. On arriving into Nigeria, he was quarantined for 14 days before he joined his people in the burial arrangements.
