The minister of youth and sports, Mr Sunday Dare has described newly signed Napoli striker as a true Nigerian Brand, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

Osimhen joined the Italian giants in €81 million five-year contract making him the most expensive African player.

The 21 year old striker who shone like star in the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup joined Napoli Thursday from French club side, Lille.

Napoli Thursday unveiled the Super Eagles striker after months of prolonged transfer deal.

Reacting to the the deal, Nigeria’s youth and sports minister expressed delight over the transfer deal and commended the striker for the lofty height he has attained.

“I celebrate today (Thursday) Victor Osimhen, Nigerian Professional footballer for the height he has attained.

“Victor, a true Nigerian brand,” the minister said.

Mr Dare noted that Osimhen’s exploits signpost the natural talents Nigerian youths possess and their ability to showcase their natural potentials when given the opportunity

“His recent exploits and signing signposts the boundless natural talents and brilliance of our youth if given the opportunity to showcase.”
