William Troost-Ekong Ruled Out Of Algeria Clash

Super Eagles deputy skipper, William Troost-Ekong has been ruled out of Tuesday’s Super Eagles of Nigeria and Dessert Foxes of Algeria friendly match, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
The defender left the team’s camp on Saturday and returned to his club in England after he picked a knock in Friday’s test match against Algeria B team
The team confirmed the development on Saturday night through their Twitter account.
“William Troost-Ekong has left camp as a result of an injury cropped during the test game yesterday. He is back to base for further checks. Wishing you a speedy recovery Ekong”
The team did not offer details of the nature of the injury. Troost-Ekong is the second player to depart the camp after Wilfred Ndidi did same few days ago.
The International friendly match will take place at the Stade Olympique d’Oran with kick-off slated for 8pm Nigeria Time.
The last time both nations met was in 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON semi-final encounter in which the North Africans prevalied 1-0.
