2021 AFCON: Scoring Goals Is Super Eagles Problem – Eguavoen Admits

Super Eagles coach, Augustine Eguavoen has admitted that scoring goals have been the major problem of his wards as they wait for their Round of 16 opponents at the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Cameroon.
The former player himself, stated that the attackers have not been clinical enough in front of goal.
Against Egypt and Sudan, Super Eagles scored four goals and conceded one but former Eagles captain is not pleased with his side’s tolerance in front of goal.
“Sometimes scoring goals is still a problem,”
“It’s in the goal area that we have missed a lot of chances. We are not clinical enough in front of goal; we missed a couple of sitters in the games we’ve played. We gave Sudan some chances to score.”
Kelechi Iheanacho, Samuel Chukwueze, Taiwo Awoniyi and Moses Simon are the four players who have registered their names.on the 2021 AFCON goal sheet for the Super eagles.
