2024 FCT School Sports Festival: GSSS Tunga Maje, GSS Anagada Reach Long Jump Final

Eze Roland of Girls Science Secondary School, GSSS, Tunga Maje and Onyike Ebube of Girls Secondary School, GSS Anagada are both into the Long Jump finals of the Senior Boys and Girls event.
Roland jumped a Personal Best (PB) of 5.55m to place first, ahead of Olanrewaju Michael of GSS Anagada (PB-5.29m) and Ohamadike Chika. of GSS Airport settled for 3rd with a jump of 5.12m.
The Girls event saw Onyike Ebube of GSS Anagada come from behind to win it, with a PB 4.23m. She leads Ogbaji Susan of GSSS Tunga Maje (4.16m) and Oseni Khadijat of GSSS Tunga Maje (4.06m).
Roland also won his 100m heat, ahead of Salihu Abubakar of GSS Zuba who came 2nd and Haruna Solomon of GSS Airport who placed 3rd. The Girls 100m race was won by Hajara Mamman of GSSS Tunga Maje, Divine Sunday of GSS Airport was 2nd and Fatima Hassan of GSS Zuba to finished in 3rd.
JSS Zuba dominated the 100m Junior Boys and Girls, following the exploits of Umar Sadiq and Angela. The duo dusted their counterparts from JSS Jiwa to progress to the final.
In the Boys 400m race for Seniors, Ishaq Hamza of GSS Zuban won the event by breezing past Sadiq Aliyu of Tunga Maje and Dahiru Khalifa of GSS Anagada. Meanwhile Onyike Ebube of GSS Anagada made light walk of Hannah Zachariah of GSS Zuba and Blessing Mhoonun of GSS Airport to winning the Girls event.
JSS Zuba clinched both tickets in the Boys and Girls event of the 400m Juniors, courtesy of Salihub Junaidu and Oyibo Bello’s efforts.
Day Two of the fiesta in Tunga Maje will see actions in the 200m (Junior and Senior) Heats, 800M (Junior and Senior) Heats, 1500m (Junior and Senior) final and Javelin (Junior and Senior) Final.
