Czech giants Slavia Prague have announced the signing of Nigeria forward Muhamed Tijani on a five-year contract.
The 22-year-old moved to Slavia Prague from another Czech club, Banik Ostrava.
Tijani is training with his new teammates in Aigen ahead of the new season.
The striker expressed his delight after signing the contract.
“I’m excited. I like challenges. Transferringto Slavia is exactly the kind of challenge I wanted. I’m looking forward to the European matches, to the fans. I would like to be the top scorer in the league one day, Tijani told the club’s official website.
He was formerly transfered from 36 Lions FC of Lagos to Banik Ostrava for free.
His former manager at 36 Lions, Alhaji Gafar had this to say about Tijani:
“We implored him to be patient and just play ball. During his time at Ostrava, he managed to unlock 30% of his potential.
“Now, he has signed a contract worth over Two Million Euros with Slavia Prague, now we are confident that he will reach 70% of his potential in Prague.
“He will continue to progress until he achieves his full potential, which we believe will be 100% soon.
“We are incredibly thrilled that a young man scouted in Badiko Kaduna State by a renowned journalist Vince Alumona has blossomed into a nightmare for defenders, scoring goals and making waves in the Czech Republic as a result of great collaboration with Cem Sagar and Dan Smejkal.
“More power to your elbow son as we wish you all the best in your new club.
“Our work necessitates 100% patience.
100% transparency. We always excel in both areas,” he concluded.
Slavia Prague are Czech First League seven-sided champions and we’re runners up in the 2022/23 league season.
