NNL 2019: Real Stars Beat Bimo SC In Abuja

Real Stars of Kaduna Saturday recorded away win against their rivals, Bimo sporting Club in Abuja, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

The match which was played at the Area 3 Play Ground, saw the host miss couple of goal scoring chances including a 23 minute open net miss.

The match ended goalless at the interval. At the restart, Bimo SC dominated proceedings and created another gasping chance but could not capitalise on it.

At the 61st minute, Bello Mohammed beat the offside track to score the only goal of the match to send Bimo fans into panick.

Bimo players surrounded the centre referee protesting that the scorer of the goal was coming back from an offside position but their protest amounted to naught as the game ended 0-1 in favour of the away team.

In an interview, coach Ngozi Eze of Bimo SC said that her team has been victims of unfair and questionable officiating adding that in their two home games they drew one against Rarara FC and lost against Real Stars Saturday.

She however acknowledged that the Garba Lawal-led team was a good side but added that her boys were unlucky with the referee’s decisions

On his part, Real Stars coach, Garba Lawal attributed the victory to hand work and tactical acumen.

Bimo SC has one point from four matches. A situation chairman of the club, Chinedu Okoye said is of no concern to him and described the league as a total failure.
