New Bayelsa SWAN Exco Visits CPS, Director New Media

Newly elected leadership of the Bayelsa State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, (SWAN) has paid a familiarisation visit to the Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Daniel Alabrah and Director, New Media to the Governor, Mr. Samuel Kolawole Oredipe.
The SWAN delegation was led by its chairman, Alambo Datonye of Radio Nigeria.
Receiving the delegation, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Alabrah, congratulated the new executive and that the Prosperity Government of Senator Douye Diri has made sports a top priority.
According to him, the Governor as one-time Commissioner for Sports in the state, will make sure that sports is given its place.
Also, the Director, New Media to the Governor, Mr. Oredipe, who is an active SWAN member, congratulated the new leadership and urged them to contribute to the government programme to discover young talents in sports at the grassroots.
He assured them of continued support and partnership with the state government in using sports to engage the young population.
Speaking separately with the two government officials, the chairman of SWAN, Bayelsa state chapter, Mr. Alambo Datonye congratulated Mr. Daniel Alabrah and Mr. Kola Oredipe, on their appointments by the Governor.
While making a commitment of the Association to support government laudable programmes in sports development, Mr. Alambo, further sought for continuous collaboration with the government on issues relating to sports development.
Other members who accompanied the chairman on the visit are, Hannanel Jackson, Pere Olotu Amgbare, Fyncountry David and Patrick Osuagu.
