Fosla Academy Of Abuja Battles Christ Comprehensive Kaduna In Principal’s Cup Final

All is set for the final of the maiden National Principal’s Cup final slated for Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja with Folsa Academy of Abuja squaring up against Christ Comprehensive, Kaduna.

To reach the final, FOSLA Academy who are representing the North Central zone defeated Owerri City College, Imo State, South-East 1-0 in the first semi-final played at the practising pitch of the stadium on Monday.

On their part, Christ Comprehensive Kakuira representing Norrh-West defeated Orile Comprehensive School, representing South-West 3-1 to advance to the final.

The two teams will clash in the final to be played at the practising pitch on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.

To reach the final, Fosla Academy worked over Abdulkadir Benisheikh of Borno State on Sunday.

Speaking with Bestchoicesports.com.ng ahead of the final tomorrow, coach of Fosla Academy, Gilbert Igwe commended the boys for doing a great job but added that it is not yet time for celebrations.

“We have come a long way and for the boys to reach this stage of the competition is on its own a huge mileage.

“However, the job is just half done. It is not yet time for celebrations,” he said.

About his opponents on Tuesday, Coach Igwe said that any team that reached the final six is a potential winner stressing that Fosla Academy will give their best in the final.

The final is expected to hold at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium training Pitch.

The minister of youth and sports, Sunday Dare is expected to declare the completion closed.

The 2021 National Principal’s Cup commences from State preliminary through zonal playoff to the national final all within the past three weeks.

Six states from six geopolitical zones of the country participated in the national final of the Principal’s Cup which will climax on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.
