The General Captain of the senior national team, Black Stars Asamoah Gyan has been enstooled as a chief in Hohoe in the Volta region of Ghana, Bestchoicesports.com.ng understands.

Asamoah Gyan is currently the Gyan’s title is the Ngoriya-Doemenyotor of the St. Francis College of Education and the Gbi Traditional Area.

The player’s philanthropic gesture for the people of the area, most importantly after solving an age-long water crisis, impressed the opinion leaders of the town, leading to his installation.

Asamoah Gyan constructed a mechanized borehole worth $3,000 through his foundation to help the students who use to walk 2.5 kilometres every day to get water.
