2021 Africa Minifootball Cup: Nigeria Battles Djibouti In Opener

Nigeria national Minifootball team will on Thursday square up against Djibouti in the opening match of the 2021 Africa Minifootball Cup holding in the ancient City of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, South-West Nigeria.

Placed 5th in the inaugural edition in 2018, the Nigeria lads will be aiming to lift the coveted trophy in their home soil.

Speaking in an interview, Chief Coach of the side, Fabian Edaba expressed confidence that the boys are ready for the task ahead.

“We have been in camp for the past couple of weeks and I must say that we have the best crop of players to deliver not just in the opening match but to make Nigeria proud

“We are prepared for the tournament and we are hopeful that we will achieve great result,” he said.

The Nigeria match will kickoff by 8pm local time.

In other fixtures, 2018 first runner up, Senegal will slug it out with Morocco in the second match of the day.

All the matches will hold at the magnificent Ilaji International Minifootball Stadium, Ibadan.
