Chairman and coach of FC Robo, Emmanuel Osahon has criticised the invitation of foreign born players to super falcons.

Mr Osahon who spoke to exclusivenews in Abuja right after his team secured a place in the final of the 2021 AITEO Cup, said the sudden invitation of players of Nigerian descent to super Falcons will kill the growth of the game and will lead to exodus of players to foreign club before they are even ready for such stage.

‘Four-time Africa’s best is a product of NWFL and many other players but you are abandoning those players for some girls in the college because they signify interest to play for Nigeria at the detriment of locally grown players, then there is a problem’

Randy Waldrum has invited over 15 players born outside the shores of the country to the national team since his appointment with four new players expected to be capped in Aisha Buhari Invitational Tournament in September.

Ghana, Cameroon, Mali, South Africa, Morocco and Nigeria as the host country have been confirmed for the tournament while invitation has also been extended to Argentina and Romania

The super falcons are already camping in Austria in preparation for Aisha Buhari Invitational tournament slated for Lagos,Nigeria
