Nigeria’s senior male basketball team, the D’Tigers wee hours of Wednesday lost yet again their second match in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Basketball event.

The team dominated by foreign players in the USA NBA and Europe succumbed to 92-99 defeat to Germany.

With the second and 3rd quarters ending 50-50 and 74 – 74 respectively, Nigerians had hopes that the team would make amends for their 67 – 84 opening match loss to Australia on Sunday but they lost vibe and strength in the final quarter to hand victory to the Germans

Jordan Nwora’s 33 points were not enough to salvage a victory for the team who now face a must-win match against Italy on Saturday.
