Again, Emeka Richard Scores In Liepaja Win Over Valmiera In Latvia League

Rave of the moment poacher, Emeka Richard has again scored for his club, Liepaja in a 1-0 win against Velmiera in the Latvia League, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

The top striker who have had a hand in four Liepaja goals in three matches, continued his rising impressive performances on Sunday when his side defeated visitors, Valmiera to climb out of the relegation zone.

The 19-year old who was surprisingly not considered by coach Paul Aigbogun for invitation to the U-20 Flying Eagles team currently in Poland, has so far scored two goals and gave two assists in three matches.

With his latest exploit, Richard now has 10 goals and 7 assists in the 2019 Latvia League.

Speaking exclusively with Bestchoicesports.com.ng, the lanky striker expressed joy over his continued rise in performance and attributed it to the coach having confidence in him as well as his hard work.

“I scored again on Sunday and it was a great joy for me. It is one thing to score and another thing for your goal to count. So I scored and it counted because we collected the maximum three points at stake.

“I will attribute my good performances to the confidence the coach have in me and hard work too. If the coach has confidence in you, you need to work extra hard to maintain it and prove him right,” he said.

Emeka Richard scored the lone goal of the match in 51st minute of the encounter.

The win has taken Liepaja to 6th position with 17 points in the twelve-club league.
