New York Gotham FC striker, Ifeoma Onumonu scored twice each of the halves as Super Falcons defeated Lady Elephants of Cote D’Ivoire in first leg final qualifying round of the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, AWCON, www.bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
The 27 year old scored in the 21st and 56th minutes to hand Randy Waldrum’s ladies 2-0 advantage going into the return leg on Wednesday.
Esther Okoronkwo set up Ifeoma Onumonu inside the box to fire the Super Falcons in front from close range in the 21st minute she followed up with a brace as she lobbbed the ball over the Ivorian goalkeeper to double the lead for Super Falcons in the 56th minute
The return leg will hold in Abidjan on 23rd February 2022.
