NFF Celebrates Asisat Oshoala As She Marks 28th Birthday

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has celebrated former Super Falcons captain, Asisat Oshoala as she marks her 28th birthday today
NFF in a short message on their Twitter handle wished the five-time Africa Footballer of the Year all the best always
“Happy birthday to 5 time Africa Women Player of the year, @AsisatOshoala. We wish you all the best today and always 🎂🥂”, the federation said on Sunday morning
Oshoala who previously played for Liverpool and Arsenal Ladies in England was born in Ikorodu, Lagos State, South-West Nigeria on October 9th
On 16 May 2021, Oshoala became the first African woman to win the UEFA Champions League, after coming on in the 71st minute of the finals with her club Barcelona Femini defeating Chelsea 4–0.
Oshoala signed a two-year contract extension On 10 March 2022 that would keep her at Barcelona until 30 June 2024
She is the current holder of the Africa Women’s Footballer of the Year Award, an honour she has won a record five times in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022
