UNFOLDING: Major Scam In Nigeria Golden Eaglets…
By Our Correspondent
The scam involving some officials of the Under 17 national team, the Golden Eaglets is unfolding as Bestchoicesports.com.ng understands the officials in the team, prior to the team’s departure to Tanzania for the U-17 AFCON Championship, connived within themselves to drop a talented player by presenting a fake result of the MRI test which indicated that the player was above the stipulated age for the tournament.
According a seasoned investigative journalist who is in the know, the hatched criminal intent to drop the player was cleverly masterminded by a combination of the medical team, the team coordinator and a staff of the NFF whose name he vowed to make public soon
He noted that when the technical crew of the team, Manu Garba and Nduka Ugbade were told about the scam, they felt disappointed and let down.
“I am armed with two MRI TEST RESULTS that will be made public by noon tomorrow (Monday). It has to do with a fantastic young talent who has the potentials of becoming the best player in the present under 17 team but was erroneously or cleverly dropped by a combination of the medical team, the team coordinator and a staff of the NFF whose name I will make public in due cause.
“They mispresented his original MRI SCAN to satisfy their conscience and conciousness. After proper investigation, after conducting two additional tests at the same hospital where the NFF conducted theirs, we have discovered that the said player didnt beat the mark and shouldnt have been dropped.
“Coaches Manu Garba and Nduka Ugbade have both been contacted and they were shocked to know that such hanky panky took place behind them.
“By Monday, we will provide documents and give further details regarding this. For now, we are talking to two chieftains of the football house on this matter as we hope to unravel the secrets behind this evil and expose the brains behind this act,” Adewale Ajayi said in a Whatsapp post early Monday morning.
