AS Roma Sack Coach de Rossi Ahead Of Clash With Maduka Okoye’s Udinese

Italian Serie A giants, AS Roma has sacked their coach Daniele de Rossi three days before their match week five clash with Udinese on Sunday

de Rossi was sacked on Wednesday after just four matches in the new season. AS Roma will face Serie A league leaders Udinese with Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye in spectacular form for the away team.

The club announced in a statement Wednesday morning that their former player is no long their manager and have been relieved of his duties.

After a poor start with three points in four games in the league, AS Roma decide to sack de Rossi with immediate effect.

Both parties renewed the contact in June.

“AS Roma announces that Daniele De Rossi has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the first team.

“The club’s decision is made in the best interests of the team, to get back on the desired path as soon as possible at a time when the season is still in its early stages.

“A heartfelt thank you to Daniele, who will always be at home at the Giallorossi club, for the work he has done in recent months with passion and dedication.

“Communication regarding the team’s technical guidance will follow,” the club said in official statement

Roma are currently 16th on the league log with three points from four matches. They will face Udinese who lead the table with 10 points from four matches on Sunday.
