Federation Cup: Tornadoes, Katsina United Bundled Out, Kwara United Escape, Rangers Through

The 2026 President Federation Cup Round of 64 have turned in unpalatable results with high profile casualties as former champions, Niger Tornadoes have been eliminated.
The Nigeria Premier Football League side were followed by Katsina United among the early NPFL clubs to exit the Cup at the preliminary stage.
2000 winners and 2017 runner-up, Tornadoes were eliminated by Sunshine Stars U-19 team after 2-1 defeat on Tuesday
Katsina United on their part, had their journey in the Federation Cup cut short by Sapele Lions who prevailed 3-1 on penalties after regulation had ended 2-2.
In Aba, Abia State, 2018 champions, Rangers International FC were stretched to the limit by Nigeria National League NNL campaigners, Godswil Akpabio FC but the former run away with 1-0 victory to scale the hurdles and reach Round of 32.
Defending champions, Kwara United escaped by the whiskers as they need the lottery of penalties to seeoff hard-fighting Sporting Supreme 4-2 after regulation had ended two- all.
In other results, Enugu State second representative, Ingas FC defeated Edel FC 1-0 to book their place into the next round, Enyimba FC of Aba thrashed El Sharma FC 4-0, while Plateau United needed deterity to outclass Ahudiannem FC 2-1.
