Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Nigerian winger Samuel Edozie from Millwall.

Edozie was signed for an initial fee of £1million, but it could rise to £2million if he makes his debut for Manchester City.

Edozie will play for Man City U18 next season.

Man City academy coach, Gareth Taylor, confirmed the signing of Edozie alongside Liam Delap from Derby County, Oscar Bobb and Oscar Tarensi from overseas.

“The new lads have settled well and that can only happen when you have a decent group that invites them in as there is a lot to take in when you come in to a new club – especially a club the size of ours – in terms of getting to know the staff, settling in where you live and what have you.” Taylor told Man City’s official website.

“Sam Edozie has come from Millwall and it will be different environment for him, Liam Delap has come from Derby, another team that was really strong last season while Oscar Bobb and Oscar Tarensi have also joined us from overseas.”

Edozie played for Millwall’s Under-18 and Under-19 teams last season, and Chelsea wooed him by inviting him to their Cobham training base and introducing him to England star Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
